Uploading Certificates

Upload COI documents via drag and drop, supported formats, and file size limits.

Inori accepts certificate of insurance documents through a simple drag-and-drop interface. Once uploaded, the AI extraction engine processes the document automatically.

How to Upload

  1. Navigate to the vendor's record within a project.
  2. Click the Upload Certificate button, or drag and drop a file directly onto the upload zone.
  3. The file begins processing immediately. A progress indicator shows the extraction status.

You can also upload from the Certificates tab at the project level, where Inori will match the certificate to the correct vendor based on the named insured.

Supported Formats

  • PDF — The only accepted file format. ACORD 25, ACORD 28, and similar standard forms work best.
  • Scanned documents are supported as long as the text is legible.

Image Files Not Accepted

JPEG, PNG, and other image formats are not supported. If you receive a certificate as an image, convert it to PDF before uploading.

File Size Limits

  • Maximum file size: 10 MB per document.
  • Maximum pages: 20 pages per PDF.
  • Multi-page documents (e.g., a certificate with endorsement pages) are processed as a single unit.

Bulk Upload

To upload multiple certificates at once, drag several PDF files onto the upload zone simultaneously. Each file is processed independently and matched to the appropriate vendor record.

After Upload

Once processing completes, the certificate appears with an extraction summary. Review the extracted fields before approving — see AI Extraction for details.
