Re-Verifying a Certificate
When and how to trigger re-verification of an existing certificate.
Re-verification runs the compliance check again on an existing certificate without requiring a new upload. This is useful when project requirements change or when you need to confirm a certificate still meets current standards.
When to Re-Verify
- The project's requirement template has been updated (e.g., new limits or added provisions).
- A coverage type was added or removed from the requirements.
- You corrected the project's certificate holder or additional insured names.
- A certificate was previously approved during onboarding and needs a formal compliance check.
How to Re-Verify
- Open the vendor's record within the project.
- Click the certificate you want to re-verify.
- From the actions menu, select Re-Verify Certificate.
- Inori re-runs the AI comparison against the current requirement template.
The process takes a few seconds. The compliance status updates immediately based on the new evaluation.
No New Upload Needed
Re-verification uses the already-extracted data from the original certificate. It does not re-process the PDF unless you explicitly choose Re-Extract from the actions menu.
Bulk Re-Verification
When you change a project's requirement template, Inori offers to re-verify all active certificates in that project automatically. A confirmation dialog appears asking whether to proceed. This is the fastest way to update compliance statuses across all vendors after a requirements change.
Re-Extraction vs. Re-Verification
- Re-Verify — Compares existing extracted data against current requirements.
- Re-Extract — Re-processes the PDF through the AI engine, then verifies. Use this if you suspect the original extraction missed fields.
