Certificate History
Track certificate versions, superseded documents, and audit trails.
Inori maintains a complete version history for every certificate associated with a vendor record. This gives your team a full audit trail of insurance documentation over time.
Viewing Certificate History
- Open the vendor's record within a project.
- Click the History tab.
- All certificates ever uploaded for this vendor-project pair are listed in reverse chronological order.
Each entry shows:
- Upload date and who uploaded it.
- Policy effective and expiration dates.
- Status — Active, Superseded, Rejected, or Expired.
- Compliance result at the time of verification.
Superseded Certificates
When a new certificate is uploaded for the same vendor and project, the previous certificate is automatically marked as Superseded. This happens when:
- A vendor submits a renewed certificate before or after expiration.
- A corrected certificate replaces one that was rejected.
Superseded certificates remain in the history for audit purposes but no longer affect the vendor's current compliance status.
Audit Trail
Certificate history cannot be deleted. Every upload, approval, rejection, and status change is logged with a timestamp and user attribution. This ensures your compliance records meet audit requirements.
Downloading Past Certificates
To download any version of a certificate:
- Locate the certificate in the History tab.
- Click the Download icon next to the entry.
The original PDF is preserved exactly as it was uploaded, regardless of any corrections made to extracted fields.
