About Inori

A silent wish for protection.

Inori (祈り) means “prayer” in Japanese — a quiet, earnest hope that everything will be all right. That’s the feeling we want every property manager and risk professional to have when they think about their vendor compliance.

The problem we saw

Certificates of Insurance are the invisible infrastructure of commercial real estate. Every vendor, every contractor, every subcontractor needs one. They expire. They get updated. Requirements change. And someone — usually buried in spreadsheets and email attachments — has to keep track of it all.

We watched compliance teams spend 15–20 minutes per certificate, manually cross-referencing coverage limits, checking endorsement language, and chasing vendors for updated documents. Multiply that by hundreds or thousands of vendors, and you get a full-time job that nobody wants but everyone needs.

The cost of getting it wrong? An uninsured claim, a lawsuit, a property owner left holding the bag. The existing tools either automated the workflow but not the verification, or verified but couldn’t scale.

Why AI changes everything

A Certificate of Insurance is a structured document with a known format (ACORD 25, ACORD 28). The verification rules are deterministic: does the General Liability limit meet the $1M requirement? Is the certificate holder listed as Additional Insured? Is there a Waiver of Subrogation endorsement?

This is exactly the kind of problem where AI vision models excel — reading documents with human-level comprehension but machine-level consistency. Inori uses Claude’s vision capabilities to read every field on every certificate, then applies your specific compliance rules to generate an instant, auditable verdict.

The result: what used to take 15–20 minutes now typically takes 30 seconds. What used to require an insurance expert now requires a click.

Our mission

Make COI compliance invisible — like a prayer answered before you ask. We believe that compliance should protect you silently in the background, not consume your days in the foreground. Inori handles the certificates so you can focus on what matters: managing properties, growing your business, and sleeping well at night.

What we stand for

Precision

Every data point matters. We extract and verify COI details with sub-field accuracy because a missed coverage gap can cost millions.

Protection

We exist to protect businesses from uninsured risk. Your compliance data is safeguarded with the same rigor we apply to your certificates.

Transparency

No black boxes. Every compliance decision is auditable, every status change is logged, and every stakeholder has visibility.

Invisibility

The best compliance system is one you never think about. Inori works silently, surfacing issues before they become problems.

The team

Inori is built by compliance professionals who lived the problem and engineers who know how to solve it. We combine deep insurance industry knowledge with cutting-edge AI to create something neither could build alone.
