Record Timeline

Understand the compliance history timeline that tracks every action on a record.

Every compliance record in Inori maintains a complete chronological timeline of events. The timeline serves as your audit trail and gives full visibility into a record's history.

Accessing the Timeline

  1. Open any record from the Records page or from a project's Vendors tab.
  2. Click the Timeline tab on the record detail page.

Events are displayed in reverse chronological order (newest first).

Event Types

The timeline captures the following event types:

State Changes

Every transition between compliance states is logged, including:

  • Previous state and new state
  • Whether the transition was automatic (triggered by the system) or manual (performed by a user)
  • The reason, if one was provided
  • The user who performed the action, or "System" for automatic transitions

Certificate Events

  • Certificate uploaded — Who uploaded it and the file name.
  • AI analysis completed — Summary of the analysis result (pass, fail, or flagged items).
  • Certificate replaced — When a new certificate supersedes a previous one.

Notification Events

  • Compliance request sent to vendor
  • Expiration reminder sent
  • Non-compliance notification sent

Assignment Changes

  • Record assigned or reassigned to a team member.

Using the Timeline for Audits

The timeline is designed for audit readiness. Each entry includes:

  • Timestamp with full date and time.
  • Actor — The specific user or "System."
  • Details — A human-readable description of what changed.

Export Timeline

Click the Export button within the Timeline tab to download the full history as a CSV file. This is useful for external audits and compliance reporting.

Retention

Timeline data is retained for the lifetime of the record, including archived records. No timeline events are ever deleted.
