Archiving Projects
When and how to archive a project, and what happens to its records.
Archiving a project removes it from your active project list without deleting any data. Use this when a job site closes, a contract ends, or a project no longer requires compliance monitoring.
When to Archive
- The project is complete and no further vendor work is expected.
- The property or contract has been sold or transferred.
- You want to clean up your active project list without losing historical records.
How to Archive
- Open the project from the Projects list.
- Click the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section.
- Click Archive Project.
- Confirm the action in the dialog.
What Happens to Records
When you archive a project:
- All vendor records move to Archived status.
- Certificates and compliance history are preserved and remain searchable.
- Auto-renewal reminders and gap notifications are paused.
- The project no longer appears in the default project list (toggle Show Archived to see it).
Archiving Is Reversible
You can restore an archived project at any time. Open it from the archived list and click Restore Project in the Settings tab. All records return to their previous compliance status.
Impact on Reports
Archived projects are excluded from active compliance dashboards by default. To include them in reports, enable the Include Archived filter in the Reports section.
